The Ayrshire Hotel + The Ayrshire House

My husband chose this hotel to celebrate my birthday this year! We are avid travelers and have NEVER experienced the welcome we received upon check-in. The owner of the hotel, Teal, and her sweet daughter welcomed us in the lobby. Teal escorted us to our beautiful room, explained how things worked and gave us some history of both the town and hotel! She was very proud....as she should be! When I mentioned we were there celebrating my birthday....within minutes Teal and her daughter were at the door delivering Prosecco! So very kind and thoughtful! The room was beautifully decorated, and the bed very comfortable!

My husband and I came for a quiet, recharge getaway. The Ayrshire House did not disappoint. Lovely sheets and towels and room was perfect having a seperate sitting area. We were so charmed to see that when we woke the next morning - even thought there was only a small dusting of snow, the walkways had been shovelled as well as path to and around our car! We will come again.

We have nothing but good things to say about our stay at Ayrshire hotel. We stayed here for our wedding in October and our suite was generously upgraded to a beautiful, spacious room at the hotel at no additional expense which was extremely generous and made our big day that much more special. It was also such a neat experience to stay in the historic flatiron building right in the heart of downtown Elora. The staff were generous and attentive and we were so happy with our stay. We cannot wait to be back!

We found home from home! We stayed in room 303 for our first time at the Ayrshire Collection. The hotel is perfectly located for the Elora Brewing Company Open Mic night hosted by Adrian Jones which we went to. The hotel is an absolute gem. High quality service, furnishings, finishing and everything you need in room. Including a wine fridge. We particularly like the owners being locals with a Scottish heritage and how they have painstakingly created their vision in the accommodations. Everything here is done to a top spec and we loved it. It’s not as expensive as the “Mill” but it’s not cheap but 100% worth it. We will be back as soon as possible. Love it.

What a beautiful property and town! The communication with the hotel from the outset was perfectly timed and thorough. Teal was at reception when we arrived mid afternoon and couldn’t be more gracious and kind. The room was beautifully appointed. The bed so comfortable, towels super soft, fantastic hair dryer and the style of the room just relaxing and sumptuous. I was very impressed and will return with other couples for a mid winter getaway. The Ayrshire Hotel (Metcalfe downtown location) did not disappoint. It was a magical visit to Elora thanks to Teal and the Ayrshire team!

Had the best experience at the ayrshire. From beginning to end the hotel room feels luxurious and spotless, the aesthetic is perfect, and the service has been amazing. Chris and Teal are truly a delight. This is the perfect hotel for a staycation!

I just spent a weekend at the Aryshire Hotel in a two bedroom suite and it was an amazing stay! From booking to checkout there was thorough communication regarding not just the hotel, but Elora in general. Our suite was very spacious, with beautiful finishes throughout. Nice touches were the coupe champagne glasses, a welcome gift, and lavender pillow spray. We wanted to stay in one night, so we ordered room service from The Lobby Bar located in the same building. Delivery was quick and the food was delicious! I was very impressed with the attention to detail throughout the hotel. I will definitely stay here again.

What a perfect place to escape to for a girls' night out! We stayed in room 304 - the amazing 2 bedroom suite which was so beautifully decorated, sparkling clean and amazingly comfortable. Finishing touches included the box of Scottish shortbread cookies, Nespresso coffee, picture frame TV with streaming services, lavender room spray and quality creams and soaps. Location was perfect. We finished the night at The Lobby Bar and it was a short elevator ride back to the room! We met the owners Teal and Eric - who clearly have taken on this major renovation of the oldest flatiron building in Canada with attention to detail and service that only entrepreneurs who are "all in" can provide. We will be back!
